After School "CARES" Program

(Children Are Receiving Extended Services)

The after school care program (CARES) at Holy Cross Regional Catholic School was created with working parents in mind. This service is offered to all school families. For a small hourly fee, ($5) parents can rest assured that their child(ren) are in a safe and nourishing environment outside of the normal school hours.

Hours of operation are 3:00 – 6:00pm. This program is directed by Mary Jane Mead ( 610-489-9434 ext. 4 (after 4 P.M.)

  1. The yearly CARES Program registration is $25.00 per family.

  2. The program follows the school calendar. When school is closed the program is closed. CARES does not operate on early dismissal days.

  3. CARES is not offered for use as a drop-off service.

  4. CARES will begin on Tuesday, September 8, 2020.

  5.  The CARES Program will not be in session If school closes early due to an emergency or severe weather.  The teachers will dismiss your child(ren) according to your instructions provided on the Emergency Closing Form.

  6. Parents are responsible to keep all contact information current.

  7. For our information and your child’s safety, we must have on record who will be picking your child(ren) up. If the person who is picking up your child(ren) is not listed on your Registration form, you will need to send a note that day to let us know. This is very important. Without this note, we cannot release your child(ren). Identification will be required of the person picking up your child(ren).

  8. Families will be billed monthly. Families will be billed at the beginning of each month for the prior month’s services. Payment is due on the 2nd Friday of each month. We reserve the right to suspend services for our CARES Program for accounts that are one month delinquent.

  9. A $1 per minute additional charge will be incurred if you pick up your child(ren) after your scheduled pick up time.  The CARES program ends promptly at 6:00 P.M.

  10. The CARES Program begins in the school cafeteria, where the students meet for attendance and a small snack provided by the school. Weather permitting, they will then have some outdoor playtime, followed by quiet time for homework or watching a movie, computer time, and free play.

  11. Children are entitled to a pleasant and harmonious environment. The CARES program cannot serve children who display disruptive behavior. If a child cannot adjust to the setting and behave appropriately, the child will be discharged.

  12. If special billing arrangements are needed please contact the school business office.

We look forward to serving your child(ren) in our CARES Program.
